“Travel Further” with Allianz Global Assistance: The Campaign That Redefined Travel Insurance Awareness in Greece

In an era where travel is more accessible than ever, ensuring safety must be a top priority for all travellers. 

In collaboration with our client Allianz Global Assistance, the leading provider of travel insurance in Greece, we launched the influencer campaign “Travel Further” (Ταξίδεψε πιο Μακριά) to engage and inspire travelers to embrace new destinations with confidence.

Goal & Challenge

Despite the increasing number of international trips taken by Greek travelers, awareness of travel insurance remained relatively low. Many viewed it as an unnecessary add-on rather than a crucial safeguard. Our goal was to make travel insurance feel essential rather than optional, using engaging, relatable, and impactful storytelling to connect with our core audience of 25-34-year-olds.

Influencer-Driven Storytelling

To effectively convey our message, we partnered with top travel influencers who had strong engagement with our target demographic. The influencers were selected based on their ability to deliver authentic, high-quality travel content while aligning with the brand’s values:

  • Filio Lou – A family-friendly travel creator known for her relatable content and strong audience connection.
  • Farawayfarers – A creator duo with a cinematic aesthetic, focusing on exotic and adventure-driven travel.
  • Yabatravellers – A traveling family capturing the world through aesthetic-driven storytelling.
  • George Vagiatas – A fun, adventure-focused creator who engages audiences with humor and authenticity.
  • Mary Retsina – A radio producer turned travel storyteller, known for her visually stunning content.

Travel Further" Influencer Marketing campaign: Content Pillars

To maximize impact, our campaign was built around three strategic pillars:

“Checklist Reels” : These videos featured influencers sharing their trip preparations, highlighting travel insurance as an essential step before departure.

Relatable Storytelling: To make the message fun and engaging, we introduced creative concepts such as fictional travel destinations—places like “Biskotia” and “El Halvador.” Influencers transformed these imaginary locations into vibrant storytelling opportunities, using humorous skits, interactive polls, and immersive visual content to capture attention.

Seeding & Community Engagement: To amplify brand reach, we executed a seeding strategy with 40 additional travel creators. Each received a custom-designed travel kit featuring personalized travel accessories. This resulted in a wave of organic social shares, strengthening Allianz Global Assistance’s visibility across digital platforms.

Travel Further" Influencer Marketing campaign: Results to measure success

Over 12 months, our campaign took audiences on a virtual journey across the world. Influencers shared experiences from Africa, the Philippines, Uganda, New York, Miami, Japan, Morocco, Portugal, and Nepal, seamlessly integrating travel insurance into their storytelling.

The campaign’s performance exceeded expectations, solidifying Allianz Global Assistance as a trusted name in travel insurance and led to:

  • 12 influencer posts & 52 stories reaching 1M unique users
  • 1.9M views and 1.3M impressions
  • 31K reactions, 261 comments, 485 saves, 50 shares
  • 22K interactions, 18K profile visits, 300 new followers

Collaborating with influencers who genuinely align with the brand fostered credibility and leveraged creativity, while the strategic use of seeding and live marketing created meaningful conversations with travelers. With the “Travel Further” campaign,  Allianz Assistance Greece was established as synonymous with travel insurance.

This campaign is part of our ongoing three-year collaboration with Allianz Global Assistance, and we look forward to continuing our efforts to highlight the importance of travel safety awareness because as travel continues to evolve, one thing remains certain: the joy of exploring new places is best experienced with peace of mind!
